Thanks, Steve for such great coverage!

It was a pity that you didn't get to hear the Genesis Forte. There was a huge miscommunication with regard to the parties responsible for managing the show organization for my distribution company and that resulted in no one being responsible for managing the show preparations. By the week before the show, some of the staff realized that it wasn't done and took it upon themselves to get organized. A bit too late.

One of the casualties was that there were no additional power lines available by set-up time and they realized that all they had were two 13amp circuits for the lights. You can't plug in my four 500W Class D amps, two DartZeel 458 power amps, and all the front-end electronics into a single 13amp circuit and just hope for things to work. I understand that the DartZeel amps shut down multiple times during the day even though they used the most sensitive speakers that they had available - the Oceanway Monitors. I elected to sit out the show rather than to have less than optimum sound. A painful decision, but I thought better to retreat and fight another day than to be slaughtered in battle.

I really wanted to hear the Forte too Gary. What I can say is that they looked gorgeous. Pictures don't do them justice.

Thanks, Jack. Yep - it's really hard to take pictures of the carbon fiber, and the silver carbon fiber is doubly hard. One day, you'll get to hear a pair of my speakers properly set up.

Btw, has anyone played the SACD/CD of the HK Audio Show? I have no CD player so I played it in my car stereo and generally the tracks are well recorded, and the Eva Cassidy Danny Boy track was so good I ordered a 2 LP set of her Best Compilation. The other tracks were Cantonese and Mandarin pop with some dynamic orchestral music and another is a unique one that has a soprano singing a classical piece that is western in composition but the words are in Mandarin Chinese.
