Good morning all

I am seeking advice regarding a potential purchase i am looking to make.
I have the opportunity to acquire an Nagra Jazz Pre-amp and i wanted to know if it would be worth adding to the system i currently use which includes:
Rogers LS/8 Speakers
Revox Tuner
Quad 606 power amp
Linn Turntable

I appreciate the Nagra is a few levels above the standard of what i am currently using but assistance in letting me know wether i am wasting my time would be appreciated.

Also, with the Nagra using XLR cables, is there egging to be a reduction in performance having to use XLR to RCA or to Din in order to connect up my units?

The Nagra Jazz is a really really awesome preamp. I've always thought a great pre amp is the heart of a system. I don't think you'll be wasting your time or money. It's a piece that will last a lifetime...just 3 tubes to replace every 4-5 years. The Jazz does have XLR or RCA ins/outs so not sure what adaptors you'll need. Even so...if you happen to need a adaptor, if you get a wall made one from Cardas, Purist or Transparent for example, it likely won't be noticed sound wise...Best of luck.

I used to have four Nagra components which were transport, DAC and amplifiers. Now I have one. I moved in another direction, if you have a dem listen with your heart as well as your ears.
