Avalon Opus, Vinyl, (Pass Xono & Manley Steelhead) Mostly moderate vol. but Low to Rocking out at times!! Room is (12'W-22'L-9'H) Well treated w/Tube Traps and diffusers. Listening is seat is 10' away. I don't have the writing skills of a reviewer; So far this is how I hear the improvements. Everything is faster (closer to live), No smearing of notes or Musical Lines (continuous),Quiet!! No system that I've had has been this quiet (including the Spectral gear) All the usual parameters; Soundstage,imaging,timbre,Top to Bottom Dynamics (micro and macro) Every record sounds like I am hearing it (Really Hearing It) for the first time. The Avalons w/DMC 12 seemed analytical at times; Now they seem So Musical that I can hardly believe I am listening to the same speakers. I could rave on and on but the best I can say is: That I have placed my order for a pair of DMA400s and have begun my wait!
