I attended a concert where he opened for Bonnie Raitt. I had never even heard of him before, but I was pleasantly surprised. Don't miss a chance to see him live because he is the real thing.

All good selections above. Howwwwwwwwwwever, his latest album, The Reflection is a painful disappointment. What an egg. Nothing blues about it. Easy listening music at best. A real yawner.

That's six ...you cheated :D

-----Frantz, just get my original FIVE selections, and forget 'bout that bonus Compilation one,
for now. :b

* But I still recommend the DVD that I posted earlier though. :b
...As it is not a CD, but a DVD video with DD 5.1 surround and PCM stereo soundtracks.

---That CD of Keb' Mo' - Slow Down is [HDCD] encoded by the way.
Sounds pretty good (dynamic, with clean vocals and articulate bass). :b

Geoff Alpert’s New Jazz Fusion Album Open Your Heart Will Get You Moving.
Jazz fusion is something that has definitely fallen into the foreground in the music world. But thanks to Geoff Alpert he is bringing it back and making it something everyone is obsessed with. His music gained a deep emotional tone and has culminated with his debut album, “Open Your Heart.” It is a beautiful collection of songs that highlights tones of smooth jazz, Latin, R&B, funk and even hints of pop.

Alpert played tirelessly for years in order to perfect his sound, but then he took a break from his playing in the early 80’s to be a devoted father and husband. However, after the painful passing of his wife in 2002, he went back to his roots and picked up the trombone once again and used the music as a vessel to convey his emotions which resulted in this beautiful smooth jazz record. You can listen to the album on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/GA-iTunes, CD Baby here: http://bit.ly/GA-CDBaby and Amazon here: http://bit.ly/GA-Amazon.
