Ronnie and the Broadcasters were great last night. Rons getting old had to sit more than usual, Dave Lumina was great on k/b's as usual, new bass player and officially a singer. Diane Blue, great blues voice plays decent harp too. Different then their usual set now that they have vocals. Three hr show. He can still make that axe cry.

Two in a row (redbook):

Personally I prefer the second one; Blues of Desperation, but they do complement each other...like a story, a double album.
There are some great Blues tunes, and others so so. All in all it blues my world just fine, without disillusion, in these times, our times.

Wonder how good the original pressing is to the Analog Production 45.

Someday I will get on with the program, and buy new LPs, and a subscription to Tidal...with MQA.

I like Reference Recordings...Classical, Blues, and some Jazz.

That CD above, Jimmy Smith, is from 2000 (Blue Thumb Records / Verve), and 2001 the year I purchased it...seventeen years ago, when I was young and in my prime. RR is one of the best music record labels. I'm gonna spin some ... THX for the link Chuck; we need more Blues well recorded like that, with natural raw and awe...good for the soul and the cool factor.
