I did 2011 and 2014. I might go this year. Undecided.
The 2011 and 2014 Silbatone room made both trips worthwhile. Generally I found only about 5 other rooms in each respective year operated at a level that I felt to be really impressive.
Still, there's loads of great gear around to look at even if it isn't being played, and outside of the scope of possibly RMAF, it must be a contender for the world's best show.
Though I must say Hong Kong is/was good - I was there in 2008.
Please keep in mind that the first day (May 5) is only for professional dealers (trade visitors) and you would need a pre registration to get a ticket for this day.
Parallel to the High End fair there are some parallel events. The most interesting is Hifi Deluxe. In the last years there was a shuttle service between the High End and the Hifi Deluxe location.
I am looking forward to it and will be there, hopefully, if no other pressing matter comes up. And I agree, there were no people queuing up in any of the rooms. Having said that, sure some of the rooms were crowded and i was jostling for space.
In fact, i found the show to be very well organized...
