I am considering to change my eh-el34 tubes in my VTLMB125 monoblockes to golden lion kt77.
has anyone tried it with vtl or other amps.? can you describe the audio difference between those tubes?

Yeah, in mt SET amp the GL KT77 was very good, maybe a little clearer and more accurate vs most EL34s. Should be a nice upgrade over EH EL34s.

I definitely prefer GL KT-77's to any EL-34 tube I've heard a warmer richer and still very transparent sound, even compared to some fairly expensive PSvane Philips reproduction EL-34's I picked up which were nice but a bit bright and forward in comparison. Only negative with the GL KT-77s is reliability can be spotty, I've had some tubes go south way to quickly, but even so they are hard to beat for the price.

Yeah, I've given up on new production tubes because of reliability issues.

I hope this doesn't hold true laterally; I'm swapping out a GL KT-66 to a Mullard EL-37. Just trying different tubes!
