I went out yesterday to check on the house and do a couple of errands. The rubber glove thing is really pretty difficult.

So far I think the best solution is to put a glove on only one hand, so you have an ungloved "clean hand" for touching your car key and wallet, etc., and a gloved "contaminated hand" for touching things in the outside world.

Still, if this were a real plague in which one slip up and you die applied, we would all be dead. I know I would be. Going outside to go shopping or do errands and remaining perfectly uncontaminated is nearly impossible.

If I decide to eat something before I get home it taste a little bit like hand sanitizer... I don't go out much but if I do then I wipe it all down, everything. You can see why in medical settings they still wash no matter how good they do PPE.

The catch is that most of the time, we will probably remain perfectly uncontaminated but the system is imperfect, so there's no assurance.

We try to order most things and have them delivered to the door but, when necessary, Nanette and I work as a team. For NYC shopping, she wears gloves and does the picking/choosing as well as pushing the cart while I keep the track of the lists, carry uncontaminated reusable bags from home and execute touchless payments. She puts the items in my bags which, of course, I carry home and place in a large plastic bin inside the door. Then we both scrub up before attacking the disinfection task. There is a modified procedure for CT which is complicated by the use of an automobile.

Whoops! Sorry for being lacking in humor at the moment.
