It was interesting to see Emotiva here this year.

But I must say they have a long way to go before they blend in with the rest of the crowd here.

I certainly would not have showed up there with Polk audio speakers set up that way. The sound was boomy and not pleasant.

Ugly boxes and ugly lighting. Don't kick me please. I am grumpy when I walk around the show and I am not recognized as the King of audio.

Elegant? I don't think so:

I was so unhappy that couldn't even be bothered to take a decent pictures of the inside:

I tell you, I don't get paid enough for this kind of work....

Their room at one of these shows was the reason I decided to simply skip entire rooms altogether. I wish I could have my 10 minutes back when I attempted to listen to an entire track off of my demo CD in their "system".

Emotiva is in the midst of many changes, from product to distribution model.

They are signing up dealers now to sell their line.

Lot of new products coming but very different from what they have offered before. Many changes to their pricing format, too - up generally. Must be to accommodate dealer markup.

Not that I have any special insight, but it seemed to me they were quite successful with their internet direct sales model. Not sure why they would want to go the dealer route now.

Last I checked, dealers don't like it when their vendors sell direct.
