When searching for World music we make new happy discoveries ...

And we are also reminded of familiar ones with film soundtracks (films we love from the best film directors and music composers) ...

??
??? - qin, ?? - vocal for last track

Album and individual track titles are in old Chinese—not so simple to translate. Don't look like there is any sample tracks on the net either. Looks like the companion album ?? is available as download here:

Samples for that should provide a rough idea.

First of this five disc series of what is basically reissues of duets by top tier musicians. Suppose this would be called 'World Music' though I definitely agree with the description Indian Classical.

If you happen to be in doubt about whether an album is World Music or a something else, don't worry about it. Post away! This space celebrates the diversity as well as the commonalities.

So I'm good on that end.

Lol, we're all good ... no matter where the music is from ... it's all world music ... Jack is right.

I just posted this in another music thread (no specificity, only music of passion).

She's Canadian (from Montréal), her vocal style is R&B, Soul, Jazz, ...and the music arrangement is modern, jazzy, soulful, avant-garde, universal, constructive inter (national).

Thanks to all for great music to explore. I highly recommend a CD (only) called Bambatulu by Lilison Di Kinara. Moving music recorded intimately.
