Pre season has started and of course, I'm the only one full of hope with the present Celtics roster. They have pretty good and young talents there, and with the addition of David Lee and Amir Johnson, the C's can achieve what the Hawks did last season - getting in deep into the playoffs.

Aldridge was benched by Pop on their first pre-season game. Reason is - Welcome to the Spurs!, as one headline put it. He hasn't really arrived yet needed to rest.

Game time in less than 2 weeks. Celtics looking pretty sharp in pre-season with at least 12 good players, in my books. Interestingly, Tristan Thompson is yet to be signed by the Eastern champs. Clippers have not been impressive with their new additions of Pierce, Lance and Josh Smith, and Rondo is now having some trouble with Coach Karl. And, Lamar Odom is still unconscious from drugs. What a downturn.

Have to admit the Clipper have not looked good in the preseason. They even had two lopided losses in China to the Hornets.

Sad turn of events for Lamar Odom. Doesn't look like he'll fully recover from this latest incident.

Cocaine OD led to Len Bias' death. He was the no.2 overall pick in 1986 of the Celtics. Odom is still lucky to be alive today. I wonder what drove a world champion like Odom to drugs, he even had a celebrity wife and looked like all pointed to a good future for him.

I read that too, Steve. Doc kinda said the Warriors were lucky for not facing the Clips. But Klay countered that the Clips couldn't take care of business with the Rockets while the Warriors did. Then Doc sort of retracted the 'lucky' thing. Clips and Warriors don't like each other. So we should see them in the playoffs for more fireworks.

The Warriors were lucky last year.

Just kidding. They did have good fortune and every championship includes a dose of good fortune.....as Doc well knows. Clippers had a weak bench and they ran out of gas in the playoffs.

Its true the Clips and the Warriors aren't bosom buddies. The two Warriors I'm not fond of are Draymond Green and Bogut. Hard to hate Curry and even Klay.

3 games kick off tonight. Cavs and Warriors face diff opponents. I read LeBron has some minor problem that kept him from playing in the pre season but will be in tonight. Warriors are sharp as ever.

I couldn't believe the headline. Didn't realize that Flip was a college teammate of McHale and that was the link they had when both run the Wolves in the early years of the KG era. Flip's passion for basketball will be missed. Sad indeed.
