I own a JL Audio Sub, and I talked to their tech support about two weeks ago regarding the tweaking of my sub. The person on the support line is a guy by the name of Barry Ober. A very knowledgeable guy.
We talked for about an hour.
Anyway he gave me some really good pointers on setting the system up, and talked about a test CD he sells.
I picked it up, since it was only $15.
I got it yesterday, and will try some tweaking this weekend.
The CD has a number of tones on it, as well as pink and white noise tracks. It also has some other test tracks with music content to test the subs. It is JL sub centric, but I am pretty certain it would be a good tool for anyone with a sub.
