I was part of a great event at Paragon Sight and Sound last Friday. Using a 4 channel Line Stage, we demonstrated Peter McGrath's recordings and the new DCS gear at the store in Ann Arbor. The folks who attended had a chance to listen to some incredible recordings and the feedback we received was that for classical music reproduction, multichannel playback adds an extra measure of realism to the experience. Thanks to Larry, Peter and John for a wonderful experience.

In the main room the system was :
Wilson XLF mains L/R
Wilson Thor subs (stereo pair)
Wilson Sabrina rear L/R
DCS Vivaldi Dacs (x4 channels)
Doshi 4 Channel Line Stage
Doshi Jhor 160 monoblocks (x4)
Parasound JC1 (x2, subwoofer)

I didn't get a post card or e-mail from Larry, guess it was intended to be a small event and not the usual catered bash.

I'm more of a fan of room #2 anyway, loved the reel to reel tape demonstration you helped put together a few weeks ago.

I don't think Larry intended this to be any smaller than any of his other events. The main room with Nick's gear and Peter's surround tracks was outstanding. It really showed what is possible and what most of us are missing from recordings.

Nick, do you have pictures of the 4 channel line stage?
