Since writing that post, I am even more convinced it is true. It is a power explanation for a lot of what we experience.

And yes, repeated listening is a good idea. As is asking if your system was always that deficient before the tweak yet you thought it was so good :).

No it's not necessarily true. That post is valid only for a first time or second time demo. But not for a repeated demo over months, if you hear differences consistently, if you take the tweaks over to your friends' systems and both of you hear similar results there. I for one demo a tweak forever before convincing myself of it. Most tweaks I have dismissed.
