This thread was inspired by another thread: Narcos on Netflix.

? 'Blow' was mentioned :

Not bad, with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz...based on a true story (Pablo Escobar is represented in it). The Blu-ray is fine, but not exceptional.

__________

? 'Traffic' :

Better film, and one of the actors in it play a larger role too in 'Narcos' ...Luis Guzman.
The Criterion Collection Blu-ray is the one to get...but the picture quality is voluntary...often very raw...for realism purpose.
Top recommendation with unforgettable performances in some scenes. ...Directed by Steven Soderbergh.

__________

? 'Savages' :

Directed by Oliver Stone. The film itself I like myself (not everyone though), and the Blu-ray is impeccable (technical quality picture and sound wise).
Worth checking out...it's highly entertaining for this type of underworld...which is very present in some corners of our own backyards.

__________

? 'Kid Cannabis' :

This one is funny, and based on a true story. Highly recommended; the Blu-ray is fine...but the story is even more than fine...it's super fine.

______

Alright, are there some that you would like to add and that are some of your favorites?
Me I just started with four BR titles...but I know that there are many more.

We have a Science Fiction Blu-ray thread...this one is the Drug's Trafficking BR one. ...And all because of 'Narcos' on Netflix...there is no story like a blow story.

This was out last year and was pretty good. "The Connection" . The original French title was "La French"
