Hi,
A piece of sad news....I just got to know today that Dieter Burmester passed away last weekend. Needless to say, the man was larger than life and leaves behind a strong legacy, which will, hopefully, be followed through by his team. I have met Dieter on two occasions, one of which was at my home in Singapore back in 2008 and the other, more recently at Munich in May 2015. He always came across as strong willed, purposeful and extremely passionate. he looked at my 911 mk3 and jokingly mentioned that it will outlive him! Indeed that has turned out to be true......
The looks and of course the performance of his electronics did divide opinion, like most other top end brands worldwide. Nevertheless, one just couldn't fault their reliability and build quality, which, I can vouch for as a user, is second to none!
With his passing away, while I guess an era comes to an end, i sincerely hope that the brand and the company survives this event and continues to grow and prosper.
May his soul RIP,
Regards
Sujay
