I think this is definitely going to interest those with LP setup, or fascinated with the comparison between direct cut albums (recording studio straight to the Master lacquer disc) and those that are more traditional/common involving Master tape first that is then transferred to the Master LP.
The double album is a big band production; Syd Lawrence Orchestra and produced for Chasing the Dragon at Air Studios.
Much more detail can be found on these links, strongly recommended for those who have LP as it will provide an interesting baseline in comparing the two approaches.
One challenge is that the album is recorded non-stop due to the direct cut requirements, the master tape is derived from the very same performance with its own feed (explained in the links).

They have also done Vivaldi's Four Seasons as a Direct Cut (no master tape though for a comparison).
Enjoy, very interesting to see once it is out if some here will do a comparison of the direct vs tape Double LP release of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, or even purchase the Four Seasons just for its Direct Cut approach.
Cheers
