I am a beginner in the acoustics area. One of my opening problems is design of an instrument for acoustic source localisation. Whereas, there are multiple such instruments available in market my knowledge and appreciation is limited. I seek help for the following problems:-
(a) Design of an Acoustic Intensity Probe: All my literature survey has pointed to two essential methods of implementing an Intensity probe (i) p-p method and (ii) p-u method. I wish to begin with implementation of p-p probe for in-air studies. However, I don't have a reference intensity meter, can someone please suggest a good intensity meter and where to buy it from.
(b) For my experimentation I want to do a reference calculation of the expected Intensity and then match it with my calculated Intensity. Any good text which would guide me as to how to go about it, I have an anechoic chamber to do experimentation and I know the specs of all the equipment.
