if you have one of theTaralabs' Floating Ground Box then you can try this

If you have one of the Taralabs' Floating Ground Box and you also using a MC step up transformer for your MC cartridge, you can try to connect to the transformer's metal core as the picture showing, it will not reduce Hum noise much but it has a very notable change in sound quality when plug in and out, why ? I don't know, but it really happen, also if you make two isolated enclosures to your step up and give a DC voltage in between , the sound quality change too, below 6V too soft, over 18V too hard for my Benz Micro Ruby, maybe different cartridge needs different voltage, unfortunately the Floating Ground Box no more in production some small unit come with the inter connect cable " The One " the bigger one sold separate, worth to try if you have it
