I wish I could call it a great movie. It was rather as Marty said the first good summer movie in October. I thought it was very good and would have no problems recommending it. I just didn't think it was a "great" movie

My wife thought it was great and she liked it far better than Gravity

That is interesting, Steve. I agree with your wife -- I liked The Martian far better than Gravity.

Near Atlanta, GA but not too near!
I am anxious to see it but will wait for the Bluray. We live in a very small town and the theater's audio system is way below par. But even if I still lived in Atlanta, I'd wait for the Bluray. I only go to theaters with my grand daughters.

I am NOT a Matt Damon fan but LOVE this kind of movie.

We watched it Friday in 3D, entertaining, I wouldn't call it a great movie either.

Excellent film IMHO! Ridley as usual creates a believable environment. Damon was create as usual. Duct tape is your friend.
Scott has a fixation with abdominal wounds or surgeries
