I am having a hard time finding aluminum, magnesium, ceramic or similar 4ohm or 6ohm woofers, of any size, never mind the 8inch I am really looking for... All worthy manufacturers I have looked up make 8ohm stock woofers with those types of cone materials... If you've come across a 4ohm (or 6ohm) 8inch woofer with advanced cone materials please let me know.

Thanks

Oh wait a minute, the driver shown is 9ohms, but then in the description, there is this:

Specs for 4 ohm version AS190-4-251: (curves not available yet)

That's a slightly different part number (-4- vs -9-); though Fs is still high at 38Hz; what kinda woofers are these, with such high Fs

Welcome back Mark! Thanks for the pointer, I was looking at it this morning, and though it claims to be "4 ohms", Re is 9 ohms; so not sure what to make of this new driver; also Fs is way too high

+1

You didn't provide much information for the specifications of the woofer you wanted except you wanted an 8" woofer that was made from aluminum, magnesium, or ceramic and it had to be 4 ohm. That wasn't a lot to go on and typically 8" woofers don't have really low Fs specs. I tried though. :)

Yeah I didn't specify much else... The ones I use right now are spec'ed at 21-22Hz, which is much more fit for a woofer.

Thanks, will check it out; the 10" I just installed cost me $750 each
