Welcome everybody!
I believe this is my first post on this forum. And here are my brand new Vivid Audio Giyas G2.
There's something truly special about this particular pair of Vivids. I wonder who, if the photo allows, will find out what it is.

I wondered that as well and if it is, how are speaker cables connected if the bottom of the speaker is covered

I think extra protectors implicate some crossover modifications. Otherwise they'd dampen the sound.
I used to have nice rooms although not the equal to these, but now with the liberty of being in my own listening room, I have many components on isolation platforms, heavy wiring that is conspicuous and needing to be off the floor and storage of LPs and Cds in the room and review pieces on the floor. At least my rooms don't reach the clutter level in MJ magazine.
I assumed that you did. I remember when I had Rectilinear IIIs and brought home Infinity ServoStatic and didn't short the IIIs. There was no bass.
