What are some of the current SOTA digital crossover/loudspeaker processors?

I know one of them may be the Electro-Voice Dx46 as Daniel Weiss recently described a pair of active 5-way speakers driven by this unit as some of the best speakers he has ever heard.

Any other contenders anyone knows about that has been demonstrated in a loudspeaker design to produce excellent results?

i guess in the end its always going to be software running on some kind of hardware platform. if there is windows/osx/linux software running on a computer that can compete with a dedicated system i would be glad to hear about it!

Acourate or Audiolense XO are much better than any of the hardware DSPs I know about.

Depending on your needs a software solution can work well, especially if you dedicate the PC to the function.

If looking at dedicated hardware, then I highly recommend the DBX driveRack series. I have a DriveRack 4800 (4in / 8out) that is bulletproof and very transparent. It has excellent setup and management software and even supports remote control from an iPad.

The ultimate though are the Trinnov units, one can use their MutiChannel models to perform crossovers as well as sophisticated room correction. I believe member RUR uses one in a three way setup with great results.
