Smart Home devices IOT wide open to cyber attack

I touched briefly on this in another thread regarding security aspect of IOT and even possibly small smart portable IOT devices.
Well a study was recently released by Symantec looking at 50 real world products.

Yup, that's what I thought. I have opted not to implement these devices for my house. I also don't perform online banking, period, only physical banking at my branch. I also handle shopping transactions on Amazon etc. only from work through a secure firewall, never at home. And no, never via wireless, that is a big no-no.
