Event Invitation! Genesis Dragons Bon Voyage Party, April 17th

When we build our products, we always have a burn-in period. When we build the Dragons, the warehouse is rocking for two weeks. At the end of the burn-in and before we ship them out, we throw a party.

So keep this date in mind. Friday - April 17th, 2015. The party starts at 5pm and goes on until the wee hours of the morning. More details as the time nears when I request RSVPs so I know how much food and drink to bring in.

Food and Drink will be provided. No, the entire roast pig is not happening, but we will have plenty of brisket and vegetarian options as well.

Haha! Good buddy Steve McCormack sent this picture of our last Dragon party.

But on a more serious note, running-in and then stressing out the speakers sometimes help reveal flaws that may arise years and years after launch. While we have a 5-year warranty, we still don't want any of our speakers out of service for any reason. So, we measure, run-in, measure again, do some critical listening, run-in more, stress them, measure again, and then even more critical listening. You can imagine that with twenty four 12-inch woofers in twelve pairs, each pair in push-pull driven by a 1,000W servo-controlled amp, all sorts of things can be rattled loose especially with some of my favorite Infected Mushroom tracks.

It's also lots of fun.
