Analog - new upgraded Red Wine Audio Black Lightning TWIN batt psu
Digital - discontinued Whest Audio filter that does things above 50Hz apparently
Amps - Nat Audio Magnetostat battery pwrd line stage
Room acoustics - tentative additional GIKs to cover my surplus of pesky corners/additional Spatial Audio Black Hole bass node attenuator
Cabling - going to Furutech all-US rhodium plugs on Sablon Gran Reserva PCs
Power - going to Furutech all-US rhodium sockets/next year all dedicated lines
Grounding - tentative trial of Entreq Olympus Tellus to finally achieve direct grounding of mains
Supports - Spiers And Robertson Air Rolling Diaphram passive shelf for tt
Vibration isolation - progressive Shun Mooks Diamond Resonators under main gear

Oops, sorry that's 9 lines, not 5 :p!

I'm mostly itching for gel, plastic, wood, and 78s

:p

1. ELP wood based chassis playing my 78s vs the same recordings on 33s
(waiting for the end of the five year cycle to send it back to japan for the upgrade)

2. DNM pre amp & power amp

Will need to plan a trip to the DNM factory in the UK to listen to their setup and also to understand the connectivity implications.

3. Dan Anagnos' new time-aligned, DSP-corrected speaker that operates in the dsd domain
This has been a long time coming.....

4. I also want a single unit digital optical player.

As transport/dac combi always need both units to be refreshed.

The sequence of powering up is very very important.
The dac can only be powered up only after the transport has read disc and settled.

For some unknown reason(s), when the dac has to adapt itself to an incoming stream a second time, there is audible degrade.

Is there a single unit digital player (with the same emm lab ability to retrieve ambient details) encased in only wood or plastic?

5. Refractive Index Gel

Considering the following:

1. 4m MIT matrix 50 IC to move rack off to side of room.
2. Basis Audio 2200 signature with Vector 4 tonearm.
3. Spectral phono pre if it is ever released.
4. Light room treatment as needed.
5. New listening chair.

I will likely do some of the above over the next 12-18 months. Not in a rush.

It's been a few months since I wrote my list in post #4, so here is a modified/new list:

1. I would like to now compare the SME 3012R tonearm to my SME V-12.
2. I'd like to hear a large full range pair of Tannoys like the Cantebury SE in my system with Pass FirstWatt amps.
3. I'd like to try to integrate again a pair of subs with my monitors. This time REL rather than JL Audio.
4. KL Audio ultrasonic RCM. Not because it will necessarily clean better than my Loricraft, but because of convenience.

I'm itching to listen to these in my system out of curiosity, not because I'm convinced they would be better than what I currently have.

No problem, we audiophiles cheat all the time - fortunately we keep our eyes (and ears BTW) open all the time. :)
