Why was the smart dog thread locked?

I don't understand why it would be locked but to answer the question I was asked in that threads last post, yes Aussies and some other breeds also can sometimes end up blind, deaf or both when you breed two merles together. Some breeders will breed two merles on purpose to get white Aussies. We got ours at an Aussie rescue shelter run by a women who works at our local vets office.
