Likewise I have been studying this for a week now. Also, the Declaration of Independence. Both outstanding, but the Constitution has a few holes in it, namely that there is no place that says that the President has the right to unilaterally remove the appointees approved by congress. In fact, there is no place that says they report to the President either.

With one daughter at a boarding school that encourages open and vigorous debate and notoriously sent a letter to parents and alumni explaining their decision to carry on with education as usual the day after the 2016 election instead of suspending classes, and another daughter at in college where recently invited guest speakers have been shouted down and escorted off stage, unable to deliver speeches and hold open discussions about current events , this book was recommended to me by someone concerned about the current educational environment. It promises to be both hilarious and frightening. It's next on my list.

This is my favorite book of the year. Literally laugh out loud funny. From the introduction "A flower is a weed with an advertising budget"

Sutherland’s interest in HS2 follows the interest he once had in Eurostar. He spoke about it in his TED talk in 2009. At the time he argued that rather than spend £6bn making the Eurostar faster in order to compete with air travel, why not address all the other dimensions where air travel cannot compete. The train already benefited from less stages of “dicking around” but introduce wi-fi, add desks, even get all the world’s top supermodels to walk up and down the aisles handing out free Château Pétrus, and the train company would save money and passengers may even ask for the trains to be slowed down.
