If you had to build a $5000 (digital only) system, what would you select?

Wow, this is a challenge! I'd build my PC first (about $700 including software) - then I'd use a Grace Design m920 for my sound card/dac ($1895), I'd use (don't slap me for this one) two Emotiva XPA-1L's at $599 each and use the remaining $1200 to buy speakers ...on the used market. With that I could score a pair of La Scalas or if I went to USAudioMart.com I could get speakers like the ML Source $1095, Dynaudio Focus 220's for $1200, or I could find numerous pairs of Vandersteen 2ci's and Thiels in this range.

Or I could go NAS server (lets say $720 for 20tb nas), and buy an Oppo 103 for $499, The same power amps $1200, a Nuforce MCP-18 (between $500 and $700). That leaves about $2k for speakers!!!!!
