Please do! 3 years later and I'm still where I am when I started this thread. I've just been so friggin busy, I still haven't gotten around to getting my hands dirty yet. Give me a push guys! Help!

Oh yes, they use them in the superior Melco model, with specific firmware to optimize the reading and not be continuously moving data. The problem is the price, so I wanted to know if there were other models at a lower price

To my knowledge Melco units shipped to the USA do not have the same drives as the ones referred to here however.

Much to my chagrins you are correct. Same with the Fidata. Kinda weird. Hard drives only for us us Americans.
