Searching threads shortcoming

It would be great if thread searches could return the actual post where the search string was found. It's not a problem with short threads, but searching is mostly useless on long threads having 10 or 20 or more pages. Today someone asked a question in the General Audio section that I know I had already answered previously. So I searched for a unique term, but all I got was the thread instead of the specific post. I know the term is in that thread! But where among those 640+ posts?

You can already do that. Select Advanced Search (rather than just typing in the field). Once there, select "Search single content type" tab. Then be sure to check "Posts" where it says "Show Results As."

I know, it should be easier but something about programmers making bad user interface designers :).
