I'm a huge fan

I read every book by Ian Fleming when I was in school

Candidly I never felt there would be another Bond as good as Sean Connery but with Daniel Craig I feel the Bond series has once again been resurrected as he is that good in the role

You have to love the new Aston Martin DB10

+1 and do tell me they show Bond movies in the afterlife, because w/o them, it'll be hell

as any who have read the books know that SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion) was in the original Ian Fleming books so it will be good to see a story about it

Hopefully a story about SHMERSH from the original Ian Fleming books will be made

SMERSH (in capitalised letters) is a Soviet counterintelligence agency that was featured in Ian Fleming's early James Bond novels and films as 007's nemesis. SMERSH is a conjunction of two Russian words: "SMERt' SHpionam", (?????? ???????), which means "Death to Spies". Though Fleming's SMERSH was supposed to be modelled on the real SMERSH organization, the novels had SMERSH as a massive Soviet counterintelligence operation aimed at sending operatives abroad to subvert the West with an additional goal of killing Western spies, particularly Bond.

"We started something in Skyfall, it felt like a beginning of something," the actor went on. "This feels like a continuation of that. We're going to put all of those elements in, and much more." According to the film studio, the plot will see "a cryptic message from Bond's past send him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. "While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre."

IMO
Skyfall was a good movie. Not just a good "Bond Movie". No! an extremely good, well made, grreat story-telling night at the movies or at the Home Theater ..
Hope Spectre holds up to this standard.

Liked Skyfall but thought 'Casino Royale' was a better Bond movie. Looking forward to Spectre in any case.

Hope it's great. IMO though, Casino Royale was better than Skyfall.

Agree with sentiments here regarding aspirations for Spectre. i like the direction they appear to be heading in...which is to return to M's traditional office, with the navy warship paintings, the return of SPECTRE, the red/green light with Miss Moneypenny before entering...old school. A direction that i felt was hinted at more in Casino Royale than the subsequent 2 films.

The very last scenes of the last film...Bond walking into the new M's office was for me a return to that hint...old school, quite cool.

Thanks for posting...why are there scenes from Mission Impossible 4 slipped in here? The scenes from MI4 with the female assassin who gets paid in diamonds are here. Additionally, a quick shot of the dinner table scene with Monica Belluci as Persephone, the wife of the Merovingian from Matrix II is also in here. Why?

A clue to the plot perhaps or someone just having fun. I think the key to movie is who is the head of Spectre.
