Steve, IMO the guy's not tough enough; in both appearance and inside. He doesn't have the stamina to be 007

Daniel Craig, if he doesn't return with a humongous paycheck offer, is going to be real tough to replace.
I know no British actor living today who have all the charisma necessary for that role, other than Daniel Craig.
I truly hope he comes back for couple more.

I agree. I think he make s a terrific Bond BUT he hates the role and wants out

I'm still betting on Hiddlestone

I think he would be excellent in the role. He would just add a bit of edge to the character he played in The Night Manger. Another rumor is that Idris Elba could be a long shot.

Hiddlestone could pull of this role no problem. His role as Loke' in the Thor movies shows that he can deliver the sarcasm, whit and edge that is required to play Bond.

If Daniel Craig does not come back I'm not going to watch any of those talked about actors to play Bond.
C'mon now, none fits the bill. Seriously.

The last three Bond flicks were the best because of Daniel's chemistry with the scenery, the girls, the villains, the decor sets, the attitude, the charisma, the intellect build, the body movements, the seat behind the wheel of a Bond's car, ...brief everything. He is perfect, but they want him to be more than perfect and that's what he doesn't like.

Anyway, it's all up in the air; nobody knows what Daniel might do tomorrow.
He can ask anything he wants, they can offer him everything he wants, he is in full control or he'll simply says bye bye.
Me, if I was him, I'll do few more and with the money I'd build schools for children where they are most needed on the planet.
...Stuff like that to make a real mark during the passage on Earth. And Daniel Craig seems to fit that guy, he looks the fittings.

I really like him as Bond but that doesn't mean the Bond movies he has made are all that great. I really get tired of them filming him running and running and running some more. The only two Bonds that had added some edge to the character are Craig and Dalton. The rest played it far too cool for my tastes.

He's in excellent physical shape, that's why they like him running so much. And women love a running man. :b
I used to be a runner, a very good one; now I get run by some younger punks. :b

He was in the last four Bond movies; Spectre last. Overall they were the best for the ladies, for the cars, for the villains, and for the high class locales.

Timothy Dalton reminds me of Ron:

Classy guy. Timothy appeared in two Bond films, and for the third he was tired of waiting for copyright issues behind the lines...so he dropped out.
Pierce Brosnan had the door open wide now.

I agree with you Jim; Craig and Dalton were the two top Bonds. ...Craig number one, a better runner in better shape...physically and mentally. :b

Not for my money

Until Craig came along IMHO there was only one James Bond and that was Sean Connery.

Dalton never did anything for me, nor did Brosnan or Roger Moore or James Lazenby or Niven or Woody Allen. Craig is the coldest killer of the bunch but Connery IMO was the suavest and best lady man. After all who could have called his girl friend "Pussy Galore" with such a straight face ;)

That's because Sean Connery is a hairy man. :D ...That's old fashion; nowadays all modern men shave. Women love a slippery wet man's body, and mind. :D

Question.

Did James Bond die when he got his head drilled, or shortly after, and the ending of the movie was just a hallucination? IT MAKES WAY MORE SENSE THAT WAY, but? If yes it's kind of disappointing he'd just walk into the lair of the beast, no plan at all...

Why does it make more sense? Well, how about because all of a sudden supposedly the watch blows up when he was told no more gadgets and Q never explained gadgets who said it has a loud alarm. The girl wasn't into Bond at all, then is all over him. He makes impossible gun shots several times, and catches a guy whom was basically entirely impossible up until then, somewhat easily at least in the "idealistic" Bond way.

Well, it's a theory I read anyways and it makes enough sense to consider it.

The one of Sean, or of Timothy?

That's a good question (from the movie 'Spectre'), and one that has few theories, varied answers.

Me, I think he made it intact. And he should be back, with a bag full of money.

Daniel Craig May Return as James Bond ...

'Spectre' was the last James Bond 007 we saw @ the cinema theater and on our screens @ home.

Previously we discussed our favorite actors playing the role from the past, present and future.
I mentioned myself that Daniel Craig is IMO the best James Bond ever.

Who is going to be the next 007 agent? ? Daniel Craig May Return as James Bond Because Tom Hiddleston Is ‘Too Smug’

"Hiddleston was widely tipped for the role, however, a source told Page Six: “Barbara Broccoli doesn’t like Tom Hiddleston, he’s a bit too smug and not tough enough to play James Bond.” "

Me I think Hiddleston could be a second-hand man villain. ...Like an assistant to a main Bond's villain.
I certainly don't see him as becoming Bond, like I previously said. I agree with Barbara Broccoli; he just doesn't have the stamina.

"Screenwriter Wade recently said the new film would be different from Spectre. “You’ve got to say something about Bond’s place in the world, which is Britain’s place in the world. But things are moving so quickly now, that becomes tricky. With people like [Donald] Trump, the Bond villain has become a reality.”"
______

Read that short article from that link above. I'll keep track about what's coming up next after 'Spectre'.

* We already had a good discussion happening here; I thought it was the best place for the latest news...instead of starting a new thread.
I would be very delighted to see Daniel Craig return as double O7.

@Folsom: Ron is our James Bond here @ WBF. :b

Lol Peter. When we talk about James Bond it's very hard to separate women from him. :b

We've seem James Bond sailing too ...

Bob, yes, he is on a sailboat, enjoying the comforts of a super yacht, but he is not really sailing. I prefer the sailboat in Casino Royale. Bond did not have a crew to control the boat. That sailboat is similar to the one in The Talented Mr. Ripley, another fun movie.
