One of our artists has started the major undertaking of writing a chronological history of recorded sound. I swear I don't know where he gets all his time to write these things. He's also the author of "Modern Recording Techniques".

Thanks Bruce! Printed it out and d/l it. In skimming it saw the section on Jack Mullin/Bing Crosby-as Steve Hoffman related it. Steve played last year a CDR of the mono Crosby tape made on Ampex #001 and it was superlative.
