Kharma I believe has been doing this for a while. They even did flush mounted loudspeakers for a yacht if I'm not mistaken. VSA just launched its custom division albeit very quietly. My own 9s were highly customized inside and not just he finish but the VR100 and VR111 XS' (External Subs) both started as fully custom designs with lots of input (in the form of a wish list) from the first owners. Hmmmm. I believe Westlake will do custom jobs too as will Ocean Way.

I'm pretty sure any manufacturer would jump at the chance, if the price is right of course. It will have to cover the development costs which include "billable hours" for the designer and his team. Time will be a big factor since I'm pretty sure this can disrupt regular operations. I think it's a win/win/win with the following formula. Customer gets what he wants at a factory direct price and the dealer will just get a referral/finders/small commission plus pay for services. No need for a dealer to get a huge margin for a one off he doesn't need to stock. Manufacturer gets to strut his stuff with no limits.
