If it weren't for the fact I just bought a used Marantz PM-KI-Pearl, I'd have to have a serious look at this IA based on your review. It's unfortunate (for me and/or the vinyl crowd) that you weren't able to check out the phono section. Aesthetically, I think it's a fine looking IA indeed and the price....well, it should soothe the Frugal audiophile indeed!
