Announcing Sabrina - Wilson Audio's newest floor-standing loudspeaker

Sabrina is a pure distillation of the Wilson approach to speaker design. A reflection of the original WATT/Puppy, a speaker whose size belies its remarkable performance. Perhaps counter-intuitively, as our technologies become more sophisticated, so has our ability to distill the essence of great sound—so that neither size, nor simplicity of design become predictors of performance.

Will it be at RMAF?

Any specs available?

No specs will be available for a little bit.

There will be a static display model at RMAF in the VTL room (along Sasha's or Alexia's with WATCHDog's - not sure exactly what they are taking yet. Sorry)

Are the Sabrinas going to replace the Sophias or is this going to be a new (entry level?) segment?

Theses are not replacing the Sophia line. This will be our new "entry level floor-standing loudspeaker" while the Alida is also an entry level product, but for wall-mount applications.

Yes, Sabrina will be 3 way. No price yet, but will be priced below the Sophia and Duette.

They are on display at RMAF in room 2030 in the tower :)

As per RMAF the prototype Sabrina was on display at the Hifi News and Record Review 2014 show this weekend.
It looked really good in darkish burgundy finish and very lounge friendly.
Specs still being finalised as reported earlier but tweeter, 6in midrange and 7 or 8 in woofer likely and expected to be very competitively priced.
Probably not a good idea to buy a Sophia 3 just now!

Probably a good idea to buy Sasha Series II before the price increase.

Be interesting to see if it also influences the price of the Sophia 3s.
Would loved to had compared this to Magico and SF models near comparable price that are either a little cheaper or expensive last year when I was looking.
Definitely interested to hear this in comparison to the old Duette (could do either free or boundary reinforced) and the improvements Sabrina brings.
And yeah appreciate the old Duette is standmount but in many ways to me seems the model it replaces - the latest Duette becomes a fair bit more expensive and specifically close boundary reinforcement only.

Cheers

The price of Sophia 3s has already gone to $22K, same as the Duette II.

IMO, there'll be a new speaker between the Sabrina and Sasha Series II, a new speaker between the Alexia and XLF, and a new speaker above the XLF.

Ah makes sense.
Is that the k9 unit dog used to take down dangerous toddlers :D
More seriously never realised they started training so young.
