Alternate Universe

“Uber, the world’s largest taxi company, owns no vehicles. Facebook, the world’s most popular media owner, creates no content. Alibaba, the most valuable retailer, has no inventory. And Airbnb, the world’s largest accommodation provider, owns no real estate." Credit to author Tom Goodwin. Bolding by zz. Maybe Pioneer is looking into an alternate universe.
Best to all,
zz.

ZZtop7, yep we're heading for an existence where we don't own our homes - we rent or live in hotels, we don't cook - we get food in, we don't own music - it's on The Cloud, no photos/books - all on our mobile phones. Jeez, what a depressing thought.
I'm a massive Pioneer fan, and have owned many iterations of laserdisc players, v. proud of my sota HLD X9 and esp HLD X0. These are still seriously good ways to watch movies, and in the mid 90s this was going to be the bulletproof way to enjoy films w/build quality second to none, putting many a high end audio component to shame.
Really a shame about Pioneer, and what it says about where we are now.
