It seems the record labels and HDTracks refuse to "learn". The Allman Brothers Band "The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings" has this note at Pro Studio Masters

96 kHz / 24-bit and 192 kHz / 24-bit* PCM - The Island Def Jam Music Group Studio Masters

Analog to Digital Transfers at 96 kHz / 24-bit
*Mastered at 192 kHz / 24-bit

No such notation at HDTracks, and it was already pretty well established (from interviews, etc) even prior to the album's release that the transfers were done at 24/96.

Enlighten me Robert. If truth in advertising was a factor what should be the correct description.

HDTracks is selling 24/192 files for about $10 more than 24/96, with no mention that they (the 24/192) are upsampled. At least Pro Studio Masters states they are upsampled, leading one to wonder why anyone would buy them.

Gotcha and thank you.
