Baking tape and loss of fidelity

Is there a loss of fidelity in playback/transferring after a tape is baked? Or is the original fidelity pretty much intact when the bonding agent is no longer sticky? Thanks for insight.

No loss of fidelity that I can tell. Baking is good for about a couple weeks.
