Howdy. I just read Amir's article entitled Perceptual Effects of Room Reflections. I had been led to believe by my provider of acoustical products that an Initial Time Delay of 10ms was greatly preferred. He sent me the following extract (download small pdf) from Master Handbook of Acoustics (fig 20.6).

This would seem to clash rather strongly with the statement that "response notches are almost inaudible if the notches are filled in by reflections within 10 ms."
So in a small listening room, which is most desirable? Thoughts?
(PS, Amir, when did you write the article? So much content/viewpoint on the net isn't dated.)
