IMHO some people mix the tilted up balance in the extreme treble of some Wilson speakers with the famous "Focal ringing", something I have never listened, even for the brief time I owned the Focal Grande Utopia Berilium. Measurements published by Stereophile show that there is no more ringing in Wilson tweeters than is most speakers such as Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution or the Sonusfaber's using the famous Dynaudio Esotar, considered a very clean tweeter.

Just because a tweeter is hot does not mean it is due to "ringing" effects. Just FIY, the decay spectra of the MAXX2 tweeter is much cleaner than that of the MAXX3 and IMHO the MAXX3 sounds less "hot" in the treble than that of the MAXX2. We should remember that a resonance will show as a sharp peak in the frequency response, not as a slope or broad bump.
