Failing , far from it ... flourishing in fact, just more in some parts than in others ...

the industry has shrunk in half in the past 10 years. that isn't flourishing.

a Porsche 911 GT3 or a stereo amp- people can't be serious at these prices.

Well you should see what Piano Tuner and his Audio Exotics in Hong Kong sell--nothing but the VERY best and MOST Expensive setups-- Koda/ Tripoint/ Dalby/ Trinity/Wadax/ Goebel/etc/etc-he has waitlist for stock

The Dartzeel Importer has 3pairs the Big Mono blocks on backorder

No crisis in that neck of the woods

You beat me to the punch Jazz, I was going to post a thread this afternoon! The design & very substantial, cnc-milled aluminium chassis suggest it will be serious competition for the big reference amps from Boulder, Gryphon, Rowland & Soulution. The upside from my perspective is that the learnings and capabilities gained from such an exercise will inevitably improve future product offerings from VA :)

Start saving up mate , sure is giving me an itch ... Factor in 3 PC's ...2 performance dependant , one for each channel ... the third for the control and logic circuits . 2 KVA UI core tranny per channel and a 1200000 uf capacitor bank . Weighing in at 120 kgs. Not to sure on the output power ratings , but I suspect it should suffice ;)

Yeah it's a pretty crazy amp. I'm perfectly content owning a Vitus Class A integrated. I guess that goes to show you can be perfectly happy driving a Mercedes C350 Avantgarde instead of an E63 AMG S :)

If your speakers don't need the power then this low powered Vitus is probably better sounding than this new big behemoth. It has been generally true that while the big amps are for show the little ones in a brand usually sound better.
