Audiovalve Baldur 300 or Challenger 400. Any experience with this Power Amps?

I heard different things from this amps. Some tell me they are great some people told me they have no bass.

Now my Question. Has anybody heard these amps in a good chain?

Bye the way the Baldur has over 300 W Class A.

Hello jpetek - I own the AV Baldur 300s, with Concert Fidelity pre, phono, DAC, and the Calix Technology Grand Phoenixes (generation 1, 89 db). I have plenty of clean bass. The thought has never crossed my mind that there is not enough clean, low bass. I have no experience with The Challenger 400.
