I was just listening to Troubadours, from one of Van Morrison's several genuine masterpiece recordings, Into The Music. I'm a thoroughly modern guy, listening to a server, and I made a mistake. I clicked "info." Under genre, it says "Pop." Pop? Rock? Sure. Jazz? Maybe. Far more than your earbud-stunted senses deserve, you taste-challenged little cretins? Perhaps. Pop? I don't think so...

Do you have this track? Has it been awhile? The trumpet solos are worth the price of admission.

Sometimes one track that gets huge crossover success can get an album and even a band re-classified. Bright Side of the Road might have done it for this VM album. Could also just have been an encoding slip up. VM is still classified under Rock.
