Flying and Ears..... Ugh....

I've had to fly a lot lately and it looks like it'll be at least a flight a month for a while. Problem is, every time I fly my hearing is shot for at least 3 days after. I do all the gum chewing, water drinking, etc. but my ears never seem to normalize fast enough, unless that is I get an accidental ear-popping. Things just don't equalize.

Anybody have any tips?
