PERFECT8 Speakers - Anyone familiar or own them? Top of Mountain or Expensive Hype?

These speakers always seem to win a large number of best of show awards at CES. Is anyone familiar with this brand or own the speakers?

Are these guys real contenders for the "best" in the world that justify their "Ferrari" price or do they just know how to put on a great show and get lucky in Vegas?

Caesar,

A friend on Long Island owns a pair. They sound wonderful in his 50' x 60' room. Their dipoles cast a large, solid soundstage, and make me miss my Alons. While hardly visually unobtrusive, sonicly, they really do disappear. The idea of moving them, with 1"+ thick glass construction on both the panels and subs is terrifying....
