The Audiophiliac Poll: Live vs. recorded music

I have attended live acoustic events such as large symphonic orchestras and intimate music venues that exceed playback sound, at least in terms of sheer size and impact. But I can't remember attending any large amplified musical event that sounded really good. Often because of the venue or overly zealous sound board operation.
