Wadia 321 Decoding Computer

Variable ANALOG outputs. This means, analog volume control, right? Wasn't Wadia so fond of their digital volume control? I would expect that this is part of their standard software. So why analog volume control now?

I think you need to think of Wadia as a completely different company now with new products and new technology.

I've compared the McIntosh D100 to the Wadia 321. The Mac has the house sound, softer, rounder, not as transparent as the Wadia. Other than not having DSD decoding capability, the Wadia is currently my favourite decoder in its price range, though I hasten to add that I haven't heard every challenger. While Wadia is manufactured in the McIntosh factory, apparently, Wadia engineers did their own design based on some similar parts.
