Laser diode light supply. Now, that's one I would like to see. Shootout UHP vs. Xenon vs. Laser Diode. Short Throw lens for compact rooms. 2000 lm, I wonder how bright that is?

Should be bright enough for daytime viewing with ease in a moderately lit room.

Saw it a CES. Was easily the most interesting thing in the underwhelming Sony 'Living room of the future ' presentation. Probably beside the point, but vid quality was just ok on the white wall it projected on. From a practical standpoint, Not really clear on why this would be so much better than a projector hidden in the ceiling that drop/plays on command.

4K or higher, products like these, plus higher internet speeds will eventually bring to life predictions made long ago, that basically at some point we will be able to easily stream "live" pictures from around the world to replace the paint on our walls with full-scale images. Imagine waking up and looking at a live stream from Bora Bora; or hosting a party with the venue virtually being the Eiffel Tower plaza all around you.
